Hey Gang,

I wanted to share with you a new item we have added. The RS6 HOG's Tooth Necklace. Most folks are aware of the HOG's Tooth necklace and what it means. We have added a bit more dimension. We have taken and added a few items to further the significance. The Necklace as pictured represents far more than decoration.

There are 2 knots, 2 skulls, 2 Red Beads, 2 Black beads and .308 175gr. HPBT Match Grade Bullet. Each is significant.
The 2 Knots represent that the conflict that we are locked into and can not escape. The 2 Skulls are representative of the 2 men locked in an engagement and that what bonds them in life will bond them eternally in death no matter the outcome. The 2 Red Beads represent the blood that will be shed. The 2 Black Beads represent the darkness upon the heart that is necessary of the task at hand. The bullet is the enemy round that we control not to cause us harm.

We have been launching a new dimension to the RS6 Offering. We are launching new products in the Custom Leather line. We are now doing custom leather work in Knife Sheaths, Pouches, Wallets, Accessory Kits and many more new items to come.

Hey Gang,

Ever since we have rolled out the ASK Sheath and Kit, guys have been after us about having a carry pouch for sharpening stone. Well I have toyed with a few ideas and here is one that I really like and it will be quite affordable due to the simplicity of design.
The stone is a commonly available diamond stone by Eze-Lap Pocket Diamond Sharpener. It measures 3" x 1" with fish hook sharpening slot and is a Medium grit. I modified stone by gluing a piece of leather for Stropping and padding for the straps.

Just wanted to give an update. We have lost all web abilities during a relocation. We relocated to Sulphur Oklahoma. We are working on opening the shop at 216 W. Muskogee Avenue, Sulphur, OK 73086.

We encountered a few unexpected obstacles during this process and it took us out of communication for the last 3 weeks. We are getting caught up and devoting the next 2 weeks entirely to getting orders.

On Wednesday Obama took the first major step in a plan to BAN ALL FIREARMS IN THE UNITED STATES!!!!!!!

On Wednesday the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

Due to the increased demand of the RS6 ASK Knife and outstanding performance reviews. We have started another Production Run of the ASK's. The Standard Black finish is going away and will be replaced with a Satin Finish. We will continue making them in 440 Stainless Steel and providing the many Customized finishes, Blade Options, Handle options, and different coatings.

If you should so desire we will be offering a Premium USA Custom ASK. We will be offering in Damascus, S30V, D2, 01, A2, 154CM, ATS34, or whatever else. We will also be including our various blade options, finishing, handle options and coatings.

These will be available to order by end of March. They are Custom and made to order as with any Custom or Customized offering we have.

All knives are available with or without the Sheath.

Hey Gang,
Everyone is comparing the RS6 ASK to Bear Grylls Knife. They are very different if you look closely. Although in appearance and function they accomplish the same tasks. The differences are there. Grind and Materials and ergonomics. Our production ASK is 440 Stainless. If you want different materials we have recently launched our custom knife division and we will be offering a few different blade steels and handle materials. Here is a preview of the possibilities. The following blades are Customized Production ASK's.

Here are a few new projects I completed. We are currently working on one for a Solider in Afghanistan. It will be Zebra Wood with coyote tan coated blade. pictures soon to follow.

Here are a few projects in process. I have finished the handles to the degree that I am going to. I need to seal them and I will be using Tung Oil to do this. I just happen to be out at the moment.

This one is handled out of Lacewood it is very similar in appearance to Leopard wood. It have Walnut Dowel as pins with Copper tubing. The blade and guard are simply highly buffed. No hand polishing.

Hey Gang,

Just wanted to share a couple of pics of my personal collection of knives. When we came out with our Predator WSK I sent one to the WSK Master Dave BECK who made the Original TRACKER Knife that was sold at the Tom Brown TRACKER School. After talking to Dave I discover that's how he decide to Name the Knife the TRACKER.

After reviewing our knife and he gave me a great endorsement. It meant a lot to me and I have this knife in our safety deposit box.

RS6 EVO lution WSK Knife - Production

We are working details out and testing samples of a Production version of the RS6 CUSTOM EVO Lution WSK Knife. We are experimenting with a 440C stainless version and a Carbon steel version to evaluate performance. We probably have the production ready for shipment in June 2010.

I have been thinking on doing this knife since 2006. Peter Jensen used to make a similar style of blade and their were rumors he stopped making them and some that ordered blades did not receive them. I hate to see misgivings in the industry therefore, once the RS6 EVO lution WSK Production is launched and available, although we do not have any obligation to do so, I will make the following pledge:

RS6 Custom EVO lution WSK Knife

Hey Gang,

We are EVO -lving into a new WSK design. The Wilderness Survival Knife has taken on a new face. I have been thinking of doing this project since back in 2006. We have gone with the Chisel Grind on the entire blade. The Geometry leads to greater depth in chopping power and less getting stuck. The serrated spine lead to cutting than sawing. The draw knife curve is a fantastic carving tool for thing such as Primitive Bow making. We have an 11/32" hole into the head of the Blade for arrow shaft straightening and making. The pommel on the handle is extended and has 2 holes for lanyard. The Handle is OD Green Canvas Micarta. The blade is Glass Bead Blasted finish on O1 steel for our Custom and Stainless for the Production model.
We are currently taking orders on the CUSTOM RS6 EVO lution WSK and will have the Production model out probably late May.

This is something we are seriously thinking of offering as items that we will do and list on the website. I would highly suggest that journalists reach out to McCaffrey through his website. His latest comments were published on Nationaljournal.com.

Interesting to note that apparently tons of weapons are flowing into Mexico from the United States. During the Iraq war, weapons were/are coming from Syria and Iran. Many Americans wanted to attack those countries for aiding the weapons flows, or even just turning a blind eye. Now with Afghanistan: weapons flood in from Pakistan. What about our country in regard to Mexico?

I am a Patriot of the United States of America. I will take criticism over the next few statements but today was the first day I was ashamed to be an American citizen. Barrack Obama is inaugurated and George W. Bush steps away from a long and arduous journey covering 8 years. I am not endorsing a political position in this format. I am more ashamed of the behavior of the American people that were bought by the Obama purchase of the White House. American's have been duped that he accomplished something and that the world has changed. But you simply get what you pay for and Barrack bought the White House for $500,000,000. This is appalling. I am not endorsing John McCain in this either. But I fail to see anything but a purchase.
His eligibility has been called into question and that has simply been pushed aside. When you pay enough you can wipe your ass with the US Constitution.
I am not saying Obama is incapable of the position ahead of him, but I am disgusted with his supporters putting him on pedestal of Messiah. He's a lucky guy but will bring further disappointment by not meeting the expectations of his supporters. They are an embarrassment to the Country by stating the The WORLD will change in an Instant. I am still waiting for that. Looked outside and still looked same. People still killing people and stealing from one another. How long will this Utopian idea go? What happens if he fails? False Expectations Assumed Reality lead to panic and anger. This false warm and fuzzy high will last through the night and banks will still be foreclosing on your neighbors homes, business will be laying off, people will still be starving, More terrorist will be on the loose by closing Gitmo. WAKE UP!!
People say we got Bush out. DUH!!! He served 2 terms he can't continue. But wait, these are the people who support violating the US Constitution anyway.
I love my country because of the democracy and capitalist ideology making it truly the land of opportunity. Otherwise why would some many be trying to get into it. But today we looked like a bunch of uneducated goofs. Some have even made statements that we have bridged cultural splits. I guess that is from letting a foreigner be President. We have simply put a man with some melanin in office. Other countries around the world have done that for years. The UK has not had a Black prime minster, does that make them racist. By the comments said around the US these days it does.
I have served my country and shed some sweat and blood doing so. But today I am ashamed to be one. We do not seem united we seem like NBC's or MTV's latest Reality drama gone horribly bad. Oprah was talking on her show about the day of the vote and registering people from the drug rehabs and we would take their votes too. Is this how you win elections here?

WSK Field Sharpening

Hey Gang,

We have put together a crude video of field sharpening instruction which will be on the forum. We recommend a diamond oval sharpener vs a flat stone or rod. With the rod rounding can occur on the pointed tipped areas. The stone does not allow you to get into the quarter round hook area.
We have demonstrated it on the RAVEN WSK but it can apply to any WSK tracker type of blade. The principles would be the same.
I hope you get some benefit of the video. Sorry about quality of it this is a new technology for me and still trying to get it right.

In an effort to respond, we have gone into discussions to proto-type a Drop-Leg Thigh rig that will be compatible with our kydex sheath and with the RAWHIDE MAG sheath. This New device will allow you to take either sheath and make into Thigh Carry configuration.

In an effort to further the functionality. We are going to be offering various Molle pouches that fit to the outside of the Sheath to allow for PSK Personal Survival Kit. We are also making a Quick Release to remove the entire rig quickly and easily should the need arise.

Since the military audience has uniform regulations to meet we will be offering the KYDEX Sheath in Tan & OD Green. Drop Leg Thigh attachments will only be offered in Coyote Tan and Low IRR Olive. The Pouches will be in ACU digital and Tan.

We will still be offering custom rigs in Black kydex but will not offer the Drop Leg Thigh attachment at this point.

Observation on Wisdom

Hey Gang,

I heard something today that I would like some feedback on. So get ready for a rant. Today Joe Biden was giving a speech and he said something to the effect of, We do not need a great Soldier, We need a Wise Leader.

I agree wholeheartedly with his statement. My thoughts were, What constitutes WISDOM?

I has been my experience that wisdom is a byproduct of experience. Personally I have not seen WISDOM from either candidate that would get us out of the current situation. Since we have not been in the situation in history.

I look at this upcoming election as a job interview and not sure we really have a good choice at this point. I hardly think that Obama has the Wisdom being so young to leadership of this magnitude and McCain has no track record of leading people through these economic situations while waging war.

Back at home while people are engaged in their own struggle hardly want to consider the WAR's we wage. The reports of tragedy's seem be falling on numb ears to the American public. More people are making more plans to watch the premiers of the New sitcoms this week than tuning into the WAR, the Campaign, or the Financial Bailout of Wallstreet. I find this Offensive and the dumbing down of the American citizen.

It used to be a privilege to be a CITIZEN and it was striven for and many died trying to achieve. Now it is not considered a privilege but considered an entitlement. Therefore, there is no sense of unity, unless we have Lee Greenwood playing in the back ground to summon that 30 minute feel good feeling, followed by little or no action. I am just having some heart burn on some of these issues.

Where is WISDOM with this type of audience? Anyone with half a brain has WISDOM with that mentality. I don't agree that the oversight committee's were asleep while the banks over extended credit, I think the American Public was. They seem to expect someone else to be WISE for them and I find that disgraceful. Get out of the Bubble.

Obama or McCain not sure either can provide the motivation that is truly needed to inspire what it means to be an American.
We were caught sleeping and had a repeat of Pearl harbor with the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Now that the attention span has gone back to sleep we seem vulnerable to future tragedy.

Someone else's responsibility. I want my MTV.

Flat Back No Saw RAVEN WSK ??

We are putting together a popular custom design request and making plans to launch into production. Alot of guys have requested modification to the Predator WSK by removing the saw back and making it without the saw back. We have done probably 100+ customized modifications. With the upcoming launch of the RAVEN WSK we are in efforts to move full tilt in making the NO SAW RAVEN WSK.
This design has been extremely popular with Military, Contractors and Kali martial artists. We are doing the first run out of the high Carbon steel and if requested we would consider doing the Stainless version as well.

U.S. Officials: Al Qaeda Unpopular and ‘Imploding’ But Still A Threat

WASHINGTON — Top U.S. counterterrorism officials Monday said Al Qaeda is "imploding" and that its violent tactics have turned Muslims worldwide against the organization.

"Absolutely it's imploding. It's imploding because it's not a message that resonates with a lot of Muslims," said Dell Dailey, the State Department's coordinator for counterterrorism.

Al Qaeda still remains the most dangerous threat to the United States. But of growing concern are organizations like Lebanese Hezbollah and Hamas, which combine social services, local governance, national politics with extremist attacks, said Undersecretary of State James Glassman.

"These are models that have a lot more popular appeal than Al Qaeda, that has almost no popular appeal," he said.

Vastly more Muslims than Westerners are killed by Al Qaeda car and suicide bombs, particularly in Iraq, where local tribes have largely turned against Al Qaeda in Iraq in the last two years.

Extremist violence claimed more than 9,500 civilian victims in Muslim countries in 2007.

U.S. intelligence agencies caution against predicting Al Qaeda's demise too soon, noting its Pakistan safe harbor and the persistent efforts of its affiliates to conduct attacks in North Africa and elsewhere.

U.S. intelligence officials told The Associated Press in July that Al Qaeda leaders learned from Iraq to temper their local activities to ensure continued access and freedom of movement throughout the organization's safe haven in Pakistan. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive intelligence.

Some hardline religious leaders who once wielded significant influence in Al Qaeda have begun to criticize its violence against civilians, said Ted Gistaro, the national intelligence officer for transnational threats, in an August speech. Gistaro said Al Qaeda senior leaders have devoted nearly half their airtime this year to defending the group's legitimacy.

Despite these apparent fissures, Al Qaeda is the most potent threat to the United States, according to U.S. intelligence officials and reports. A national intelligence assessment released last year said Al Qaeda had regenerated its leadership and ability to conduct attacks in the ungoverned tribal region of western Pakistan.

Afghanistan has grown increasingly violent because of the close ties and collaboration between the Pakistan tribes, the Taliban and the terrorist organization. Al Qaeda continues to attract new fighters to fight U.S. forces in Afghanistan, and radical Internet sites that provide religious justification for attacks and violent anti-Western rhetoric are spreading.

Glassman said he is "skeptical" about claims that Al Qaeda is changing its ways, or is even capable of changing its ways.

"The death-cult mentality is part of Al Qaeda's DNA. An Al Qaeda that could adapt would be a far more dangerous Al Qaeda," he said.

RAVEN WSK and ESK Companion
We are hard at work on the new RAVEN WSK and E.S.K. Companion knife. We are set to launch this set by October 2008. This version is the direct result of customer feedback. The set is made from high carbon steel SKS5 which is very close to 1085 Steel. SKS5 is an Asian steel that is primarily used for circular saw blades and knives. It is an extremely durable high quality steel grade. The RAVEN WSK is an evolved design of the Predator WSK. The ESK Companion is great all around bush knife. Great for camp chores and Everyday Survival Knife needs. The ESK has little secret in the handle, with a space for survival kit. We hope you enjoy the new designs and look forward to bringing out more.

I have been getting questions concerning the steel of the RAVEN and ESK. I wanted to post a great guide to the steel we used. It explains the composition and strength.

We purchased cold rolled steel, cut blanks with WEDM, and CNC ground off of CAD designs.

SKS5 steel is used for Knives, Tools and Saws.
